As it was mentioned before in our previous posts, the HTC Inspire 4G aka Desire HD won’t be updated even with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Of course, there is nothing that should stop you from rooting and flashing your device with ICS based ROM but sometimes it is so nice to see things going the official way. Anyway, even despite the fact that we are not going to see it running Android 4.0, HTC makes a decision to roll out a bit different update that will also bring a couple of new features like HTC Sense 3.0, Task Manager, AT&T Address Book and fixes including call optimization improvements (fewer dropped calls), improved security functionality, SMS/MMS Thread – Contact Display Fix, background data use improvement and others. If you are inpatient, you can visit the official HTC site and download the RUU but for that matter you will need HTC Sync and you are probably going to lose all your data stocked on a smart-phone. So, it might be a logical solution to wait a bit for the official roll out.
