  • BlackBerry 7 Approved for Pentagon Use

    Things may not be looking good for RIM nowadays, but it isn’t all not so great. Some people still adore Blackberry devices due to the design and its safety measures. Like the Pentagon, as an example, who have endorsed the product.

    The Pentagon features given the green lighting for Blackberry Several devices to be used company wide. The Rim devices that have been accepted include the Bold 9900, 9930, Flashlight 9810, 9850, 9860 and the Curve 9360. The phones will be utilised by personnel from the US Army and the Defense Department.

    They are simply no strangers to RIMs devices. According to the Division of Defense’s fiscal 2013 budget, there are about 250,000 Blackberry gadgets currently in use, whilst 5,000 Apple company iOS devices and 3,1000 Android devices are a part of a pilot system.


  • LG Optimus L7 Launched In Europe And Asia

    The Optimus L7 is the latest device frmo the brand that has been launched in Europe and in Asia. It is an Android device that runs on Anroid Ice Cream Sandwich. It is powered by a dual core 1GHz processor with 1GB of RAM, and features a 5 megapixel camera with auto-focus and an LED flash. By the way, it should be available in various European countries shortly.


  • Nokia Lumia 900 Goes Up For Pre-order

    The Nokia Lumia 900 can now be pre-ordered in the US from AT&T for only $99.99 when you sign up to a new two year service agreement with AT&T. It will be available starting on the 8th of April, and it will run the latest version of Microsoft’s mobile OS. Other features include a single core 1.4GHz processor, a 4.3 inch AMOLED ClearBlack touchscreen display, a front facing 1 megapixel camera, a rear facing 8 megapixel camera with a Carl Zeiss lens, 16GB of built in storage, WiFi and 4G LTE.   • Google Confirms It Will Support Android Manufacturers In Apple Lawsuits

    Here’s the latest about lawsuits between Apple and the rest of cellphone manufacturers. Google’s Eric Schmidt confirmed that Google will support all these companies who are in the various court cases with Apple

    Google purchased Motorola Mobility, who owns a lot of patents relating to mobile phones, and one of Google’s main reasons for the acquisition was to get hold of the companies patent portfolio.

    “We tell our partners, including the ones here in Taiwan, we will support them. For example we have been supporting HTC in its dispute with Apple because we think that the Apple thing is not correct.”


  • Nokia axes plans for the 600

    Nokia decided to cancel their Nokia 600, after careful consideration along with all plans for the unreleased Symbian Belle powered 600 and decided not to ship it to markets.

    The Nokia 600 is a mid-range device which is originally set to launch as an alternative to the brand’s manufacturers upcoming Windows Phone devices. The 600 comes features a 3.2-inch capacitive display, a single-core 1GHz processor, 512MB of RAM, a 5 megapixel rear facing camera that can record videos in 720p HD.

    Here’s what Nokia has to say about the cancellation of the 600:

    “After careful consideration we have decided not to ship the Nokia 600 to markets, we are constantly continuing to refine our portfolio to bring consumers the best possible range of devices to meet their diverse needs.”


  • Nokia Launching A White Nokia N9

    The Nokia N9 is a cool device that has similar design cues to those Nokia Lumia 800. Nokia has announced that they will be releasing a white version of the Nokia N9.

    Nokia is said to be releasing a white Nokia N9, and it looks like that Nokia will also be releasing a software update for the N9 to bring a range of new features to the device, which include a number of improvements.

    The white Nokia N9 will be available before the end of the year and will be available in the 64GB version, there are no details as yet on which countries it will be in.


  • Google Nexus Prime To Cost $299 On Verizon

    Samsung along with Google will host a special event next week, where they are set to reveal the latest Google smartphone, which will either be called the Google Nexus Prime or the Samsung Galaxy Nexus.

    The Google Nexus Prime will be the first Android device to come with the latest version of Google’s mobile OS, Android Ice Cream Sandwich. According to the guys over at Droid Life, it will be available in Verizon, as the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, some time in November.


  • AT&T iPhone 4S Shipping Change To 3-4 Weeks

    Many people have ordered iPhone 4S through AT&T, and it is said that they may have a longer wait to get their hands on the much awaited handset, as the shipping estimates have now been changed to 21 to 28 days.

    We checked the Apple’s online store, and we still see a shipping time of 1 to 2 weeks for new orders. We wonder how long it will take for Apple’s shipping times to change considering the high demand for the iPhone 4S?


  • Samsung Stratosphere Full Specifications Leaked

    The Samsung Samsung Stratosphere’s full specifications has been leaked and we’d like to thanks the guys over at Droid Life for sharing it to us. It is said that the  Samsung Samsung Stratosphere will run Android 2.3 Gingerbread and will feature a slide out QWERTY keyboard.

    It will be powered by a single core 1GHz, and has 512MB of RAM, plus 4GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot which can take up to 32GB cards and it will come with a 4GB microSD card.


  • Google Wallet Launching Today?

    Google already informed us about their Google Wallet service back in May, and it looks like today is the big day or should i say its launch. Google seems to be preparing to launch it today as they have given out documents stating that the Google Wallet will launch on the Sprint Nexus S from this day on.

    The said Google Wallet service will be limited at launch, though it is expected to be rolled out to other networks shortly.
